Vecenergy Enters Southwest Market, Buys Albuquerque Terminal
(3rd Quarter 2011)
Vecenergy, the energy division of the Vecellio Group, continues to expand its presence in the bulk petroleum storage and distribution industry.
After purchasing two Chevron terminals earlier this year in Alabama and Georgia, Vecenergy has acquired a third Chevron terminal, this one a 150,000-barrel capacity facility in Albuquerque, NM.
The transaction establishes a market presence for Vecenergy in the southwest U.S., with additional expansion opportunities under consideration.
We are excited to be expanding into new markets, said Todd Cannon, Senior VP and COO of Vecenergy. We are very optimistic about the potential this terminal offers and look forward to providing the same exceptional service to our new customers that we currently provide to customers at our other terminal locations.
Vecenergy also designs and constructs terminals, including two major facilities that it owns and operates at the Port of Palm Beach and Port Everglades in South Florida.
Its five terminals have a total capacity of more than 2.1 million barrels. Vecenergy also provides offloading services for petroleum products at Port Everglades.
