Ranger ConstructionÂ’s North Division has completed the company’s largest project to date, construction of a 2.7-mile elevated section of SR-414/John Land Apopka Expressway in Orange County, Florida.

Valued at more than $105 million, the contract included moving and grading three million cu. yds. of earth and building 23 sections of reinforced earth wall reaching as high as 60 ft.

A grand opening celebration held in February featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a 5K run to benefit charity. The new roadway, in conjunction with an adjoining section due for completion later this year by another contractor, will provide a more direct link between SR-429 (the Western Beltway) and US-441 north of Orlando.
