Ranger South EXPANDS in the Miami Market

Ranger South EXPANDS in the Miami Market
(3rd Quarter 2007)

Ranger Construction - SouthRanger South has crowned a summer of achievement with the recent acquisition of APAC Southeast’s Miami office. While Ranger has worked in the market for some time, the expansion will complement Ranger South’s Miami operations with a physical presence. The acquisition has also boosted the division’s personnel in the area: Ranger South has gained an additional 135 experienced and dedicated team members with the transaction. The new branch office will enhance Ranger South’s ability to provide top-notch service and a quality product to its customers in the private/commercial and public sectors.

Even as the groundwork for the acquisition was being laid, Ranger South continued making excellent progress on securing new work and completing ongoing projects. In July, the division secured two FDOT contracts worth a combined $8 million. In Fort Lauderdale, Ranger South will mill and resurface a one-mile section of SR-7. In Coral Springs, the division will mill and resurface 2.5 miles of University Drive. Both jobs will include sidewalk restoration, signalization and striping.

Despite heavy levels of traffic, the division is making great time with milling, resurfacing and installing signals on Kendall Drive and Bird Road in Miami-Dade County. The project team remains committed to completing the work ahead of schedule without compromising safety.

In the private arena, Ranger South continues to satisfy clients with high-quality work completed on schedule and on budget. Work is nearly wrapped up on drainage improvements for Gulfstream Lake at Hallendale. The project team is operating on a fast-track schedule to construct a drainage system for a temporary parking lot as well as the horse barn.

The division is also preparing to provide paving work for such clients as CVS Pharmacy, Basset Furniture, Office Depot and long-time customer American Engineering.
