Vecellio Group Moves Up In ENR Rankings

The Vecellio Group’s growth is driven by quality results, such as this paving project for an I-95 interchange at Palm Beach International Airport.
Vecellio Group, Inc., has moved up 27 spots in Engineering News-Records annual ranking of the countrys largest contractors by revenue, jumping from 153rd to 126th on the latest list.
The group enjoyed its best results ever in 2004, with solid revenues on all fronts and expanded operations at several divisions. The group also started two new operations: VG Asphalt in Greensboro, NC, and South Florida Materials asphalt terminal at the Port of Palm Beach.
Among transportation contractors, Vecellio Group is now 18th largest in the nation, according to ENR.

Ranger Tees Up Work In Southern CA

Dos Lagos, a course Ranger Golf is building in Corona, CA, is scheduled for completion this summer.
Ranger Golf is constructing two new golf courses and performing major improvements at a third, all in Southern California.
The two new courses are located in Corona. Dos Lagos is an 18-hole course for Temescal Canyon Properties-8. Designed by Matt Dye, Dos Lagos will play at about 7,000 yards and is scheduled for completion this summer.
Ranger is also nearing completion on The Retreat, an 18-hole course by Jack Nicklaus Design.
At Rams Hill Country Club in Borrego Springs, northeast of San Diego, CA, Ranger is part of a major reconstruction project to expand the existing 27 holes to 36. Rangers portion involves the demolition and complete reconstruction of nine existing holes, along with new construction of nine additional holes.
Also in Corona, CA, Ranger Golf built The Retreat, a beautiful, championship-level course laid out by Jack Nicklaus Design.
VGI Sponsors History of Hot-Mix Project

The history of hot-mix asphalt in the United States is a story thats worth telling and the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) is putting together a book to do just that.
Due for publishing in November 2005, the hot-mix history book is being financed by a group of NAPA members whose roots go back quite a few years themselves. One member is gold-level sponsor Vecellio Group, Inc., with a contribution of $10,000 and an advance order for a substantial quantity of books.
