Leo A. Vecellio, Jr.
Vecellio Group, Inc. President, Chairman
and CEO

In our many decades as a contractor, we’ve experienced a number of boom and bust cycles. One thing has held true throughout these cycles and it holds true today: the men and women in our lines of work are hardy, resilient folks.

From building roads, bridges and runways, to mining aggregates, to building and operating petroleum terminals, the work we do is complex and often involves very challenging conditions.

The long-term success we’ve been blessed with is a testament to the character and skills of our employees, especially those who have experienced one or more of these cycles themselves.

As we continue to work diligently, with our focus on safety and quality throughout the market’s phases, we pave the way for many more decades of success together.

Turning Asphalt Into ‘Diamonds’:
Sharpe, Ranger Earn Commendations
(4th Quarter 2010)

All Asphalt Plants Meet NAPA’s Comprehensive Standards

All 10 Vecellio Group asphalt plants once again meet the high standards of the National Asphalt Pavement Association’s Diamond Commendation program, which establishes criteria for excellence in plant operation and maintenance.

Meeting these high standards is an annual goal for the Group’s asphalt production facilities, strategically located throughout the market areas of Ranger Construction in Florida and Sharpe Bros. in North Carolina.

Companies are rated in appearance, operations, environmental, safety, permitting and compliance, and community relations.

Sharpe Bros. and Ranger Construction’s commitment to excellence is a reflection of the high standards of the entire Vecellio Group.
